10 Months

What a difference one month makes. Eleanor crawls everywhere now and finds a way to pull up on any and every object (including Reggie). She has started standing on her own and does a pretty good job of balancing before falling backwards.

Happy Easter!

We had a really fun Easter Sunday...went to church and then drove to Baltimore to have lunch and see the Twins Orioles game. Eleanor was more interested in ripping her hat off her head than cheering on Mauer or Morneau, but we had a great time.

Here is a fun little game that Eleanor and Reggie like to play with his kong. (She kept this up for 10 minutes!)

9 Months

9 months brought around ear infection number three (yay). We were actually relieved that it was only an ear infection because she was sent home from daycare for what they thought was pink eye. Here are the stats for 9 months:

Head - 17.75 in. (82%)

Weight - 21lb. 14 oz. (93%)

Height - 28.5 in. (82%)

She is crawling backwards everywhere...no officially crawling forward (she does a weird half-crawling motion to move forward). She loves to eat and is eating just about everything we eat and prefers to feed herself (she likes to swat at the spoon when we try to feed her, which results in food flying everywhere). Reggie has discovered a new spot in the house...directly under the high chair and gladly eats anything that falls his way. Here he is after some extra high-chair food:



Eleanor also celebrated St. Patrick's Day -- she's a big fan:

8 Months

Somewhere between 7 and 8 months, Eleanor's second tooth came in. She now has two bottom teeth, and she loves to bite on everything! She pulled up during the same time and that is pretty much all she wants to do ALL the time. She also started scooting around this month -- not crawling yet -- but definitely not stationary.

Seven Months and North Dakota

We headed up to North Dakota in January for a late Christmas celebration with Derek's family. This was Eleanor's first visit, and man did she get a LOT of attention. She met her great-grandparents, her uncles, great aunts and great uncles, and lots of cousins!





Our flights up there were pretty uneventful. She was a little fussy on the way to Minneapolis, and as I was holding her in the back of the plane, I found out the reason -- she had her first tooth. E managed to leave her mark at the Minneapolis airport. But other than that, traveling went pretty well. It was freezing (like -18 degrees) when we arrived, but it didn't seem to phase Eleanor. Derek on the hand made it clear to everyone at the Grand Forks airport that the lady sprinting to the car (aka me) was from Dallas, at which point everyone had a nice laugh.

We had a ton of fun hanging out with everyone -- just wish we could do it more often!
